Chapter 45

Paige’s POV

The next time I opened my eyes, it was several hours later. I checked the table clock beside my bed and saw that it was the morning of the next day already. I couldn’t believe that I slept for so long. I stretched out my body before I jumped down from the bed, my feet hitting the cold floor. I was happy for a reason that was known. I was excited to meet Gabriel and ask him when we would start the training.

Suddenly, my mind shifted to my parents and I remembered how they gave me a twenty-four-hour ultimatum to either give them up or give Gabriel up. Their request wasn’t reasonable and that was one of the major reasons why I never gave it a thought. I was angry at the fact that my parents would rather not have a child than accept me and my mate. This is not our fault. Gabriel and I didn’t do anything wrong.

I picked up my new phone and dialed their numbers. My mom didn’t pick up my calls but my dad did.
