Chapter 21

Crystina’s POV

After I woke up at the hospital, Alpha Luka was there again. Even though I actually didn’t expect him to be there, I wasn’t surprised that he was.

“Do you feel better?” He asked once he laid his eyes on mine. If I say yes, I wondered if he would find out that I was lying between my teeth.

“Not really,” I whispered. My voice was very low because I was feeling weak. I was in excruciating pain from the stab wound on my shoulder. It was silver, and there was no way I would recover within a few hours.

“It hurts?” With a pained expression on his face, he touched me lightly as if he would break me. I nodded.

“A little,”

He held my face in his hands and kissed my cheek lightly. His eyebrow was so crooked that the line in between was not visible. Luka held my hand and stared at me.

“It would get better. It’s the effect of the silver. The doctor doesn’t want to pump you with too many painkillers; she wants your body to ease out the pain
