Chapter 24

Crystina’s POV

When Luka said the mating ceremony was in three days, I had thought he was joking and would probably change his mind, but for the next days that followed, I realized how real it was. Right on the morning of the third day, reality dawned on me. As I stood in front of the mirror in my white and nude long gown that was flowing down my feet and braided hair, I was sure that I was about to become the Luna of the Moon Valley Pack.

“Are you ready?” Mary asked me as she walked into my room with a wide grin on her face. She was even happier than I was. I was the bride; I was supposed to be the happiest, but deep inside of me, I couldn’t find that happiness that I truly wanted.

So many questions are running through my head, and I can’t help but wonder if this is what I actually want. I don’t hate the idea, but neither am I a fan of it.

I breathed loudly. “Yes,” I replied.
