Luka’s POV

I left the airport with the third car that was still waiting for me. Two of my warriors were inside the car, and so was my Beta, Baba. I knew the workload would’ve doubled for me as well here since I left without proper preparation, and most times, I feel bad for my Beta.

“Are there any updates I should be aware of?” I asked my Beta. I was already worried about what I would say to Crystina when I get home, so I needed something to preoccupy my thoughts before then.

“Yes, Alpha. My mate and I had a new girl last week,”

“Wow, congratulations, Baba. I thought you stopped giving birth already,” I mentioned laughing. He didn’t take offense because he knew I was joking.
