Chapter 123. True Nature
The flaming soldiers gave way as General Victor marched toward his son, his sword releasing a screeching sound as he pulled it across the ground. He wore a look of disdain, the sound of his metal boots hitting the ground signaling doom as he tightened his grip on his sword’s handle, prepared to chop off the head of anyone who stood in his way.
Steven looked tired and fatigued, his face covered in sweat and minor injuries as he fought against his father’s soldiers. He grew puzzled as his eyes darted between the soldiers, watching them back away slowly. “What’s happening?” Steven thought to himself.
His question was quickly answered as his eyes met his father’s. Steven’s brows furrowed, and he readied his sword, parting his legs to prepare himself for Victor’s attack, watching as the general approached him.
