“Prince Rowan was always like this.” Calliope started, her lower thighs pressed against her chest and her knees cradled in her arms as she stared blankly at the golden hay beneath her feet. The rustling and crackling of the carriage wheels, coupled with the sounds of creeping nocturnal creatures, permeated the endless darkness that was the forest of the damned.
