Chapter 23. Welcoming Ceremony
The people of Valtoria welcomed their king and his sons with joyful singing and beautiful decorations around the city. The already beautiful golden and silver structures were decorated with vibrantly colored fabrics, ranging from bright yellow banners to dark red tarps carrying the Valtorian crest. They sang the king’s praises and the kingdom’s anthem as they raised Valtorian flags in respect of their great leader and their great nation.
Hours after the public ceremony, a large dinner party was held in the palace’s dining hall. Nobles and security officials ranging from military generals to district wardens from all eight districts of Valtoria gathered to celebrate the return of the king, with the most important people joining the king and his sons at a large round table and the lower-class nobles eating at other smaller tables in the hall. The feast went on for hours with numerous maids moving around, serving the different guests that were present.
