Chapter 25. Brotherhood

Damian slowly pushed his sword back into its sheath, and Rowan slid his hands back into his pockets. They both stared at each other intently, neither wanting to break eye contact.

“Metal Gauntlets? You knew I was going to attack you,” Damian assumed, not surprised at all by this outcome. His brows furrowed as he stared at his brother.

“It’s not the first time you’re doing this. In fact, you’ve done it so many times I’ve even forgotten why you keep trying to kill me,” Rowan replied, turning back to the moon.

Damian clenched his jaws in annoyance and reached for the handle of his sword again. “How dare you say that? All these years I've been working to find the one who killed my mother. The monster who took everything away from me. I know you know who it is, but you’ve refused to tell me, and that is why I must exterminate every last one of your kind, including you.”
