“I can see it, you know? This darkness that surrounds you, this strange power you wield. I know you're not human,” I said softly, my brows furrowing as I stared at her.
She remained silent for a moment, then responded. “Of course I’m not.”
She turned her head to the left, revealing her glowing blue eyes and long, thirsty fangs underneath her spine chilling smirk.
“I’m so much more.”
“What... do you mean?” I asked with a stutter, taking a step back.
She turned around fully and took a step toward me. “I’m sure you already know that there are certain supernaturals who dwell in the darkness; supernaturals who appear human during the day and become blood thirsty monsters during the night. I and the dark prince are one of such creatures, Princess Celene,” she answered, her voice low and measured. She sounded less cheerful than she was when I saw her in the courtyard.
