Chapter 24. Quiet Dinner
Prince Damian and his right-hand maiden, Moriah, sat late in the evening in a garden at a corner of the castle. The bushes, arranged in a circular pattern, formed a large maze around Damian and Moriah. The garden housed different types of flowers that filled the air with a beautiful fragrance and rustled as a gentle breeze blew by.
They were surrounded by vibrantly colored roses and glowing lamps that hung on multiple poles around their dinner table. Prince Damian made sure not to eat too much at his father's welcoming ceremony so that he could keep his promise to Moriah. He was one who always kept to his word, especially when it had to do with his closest allies.
They both ate quietly on opposite ends, focusing solely on their meals. The deafening silence at the dinner table made it seem like the two had forgotten that they were with each other.
