Chapter 32. Mad Prince
“So, how’s knight training going?” Elena asked softly, staring at the polished marble ground as we strolled through a passage in the Valtorian castle. The wall to our left was made completely of thick glass, so the rays from the setting sun shined upon the two of us brightly. From this height, we could see most of the Valtorian city and how its buildings stretched on into the horizon. It was beautiful.
“Knight training? I am involved in no such thing. I think Prince Damian just plans to make me a foot soldier and watch me die on my first day on the battle field,” I replied with a smile, turning to her and turning back to the ground.
“Well, from what I heard, Moriah is the best fighter in all of Valtoria, so if you survive long enough, you might get knighted by the king. I heard being a knight of Valtoria comes with a lot of benefits. The king might be a ruthless man to outsiders, but he sure is generous to his people,” Elena said, smiling back at me as she moved her arms
