Chapter 94. Set up
“Garfield, what are you doing here?” Miriam asked, turning to Garfield, who walked past her assigned end of the castle, holding a small tray of warm donuts. Miriam was a caramel-skinned brunette who had a small round face, full cheeks, and burnt-orange eyes. She was signed by the general to guard the eastern wing of the castle and had been standing here for hours already.
Garfield paused, then turned to her, his cheeks and lips covered in donut crumbs. “I’m working,” he replied. Garfield was a blond with a bob-style haircut, light skin, and large round eyes. His irises were sky-blue, and he looked a lot larger than the other knights. Not large as in muscular—large as in plump—even with his armor on.
“Working? You're just stuffing your face with donuts,” Miriam argued, her left brow rising questioningly.
