“Sir Steven,” I said softly, staring at him as my lips curled up into a soft smile. His dark gray eyes gleamed beneath the candlelight, and his body gave off an unusual scent—it wasn’t of any perfume I knew of, and it felt a bit too… natural. Was this a thing with werewolves?
“Are you alright? You seem a little under the weather,” Steven asked worriedly.
I remained lost in his eyes, staring quietly for a moment before his words finally reached my ears. “Oh, I’m fine. Just got a little bit dizzy is all. I’m not used to being in such a crowded environment,” I responded nervously. I hadn't seen Steven for a long time— for some reason his presence felt different, like he was a complete stranger.
