Chapter 75. Nikolas's Confession

In five minutes, Nora rushed inside with the Administrative Head of her office, Steven Wilcox, whom Brooklyn had met before.

“Brooklyn, how’s Nikolas? I just heard what happened outside the office,” she told her, sitting beside her.

“He’s still inside the OT,” said Brooklyn with tears in her eyes.

“Where did the bullet hit, sir? Is he critical?” asked Steven.

“In his left arm. Yes, he’s critical. He lost his consciousness,” said Brooklyn. Nora wiped Brooklyn’s tears away.

“Don’t worry, he’ll survive if they had shot him in the arm. But who were they? Why did they attack you two?” asked Nora with concern. Brooklyn explained to her what happened at Willamette Valley and about Freddie Miller and how he had kidnapped her and Brandon.

“Thank God the cops arrested them before they could harm you further,” said Nora as a shudder went down her spine.
