Chapter 84. Misunderstanding Her

Brooklyn gaped at his rudeness, clueless at what suddenly happened to him. With slumped shoulders, she went to sit on the sofa to wait for him. However, there was a knock on his door and Nikolas angrily barked, “Come in!”

A happy Michael came in, carrying a bag, and his eyes sought Brooklyn out.

“Hello, sir. Can I talk to Brooklyn, please?” he asked excitedly.

Nikolas glared at him, his eyes burning with a strange fury, seeing Michael rush towards Brooklyn without even waiting for his permission. To his immense shock, Brooklyn grinned back at him. He handed her the bag and whispered a few words to her before thanking him and rushing out of his room.

Mad fury coursed through Nikolas at the way all the younger guys flocked towards her. He was jealous beyond words. All women were the same! How could Brooklyn claim to love him, yet laugh and flirt with every man who glanced her way?

He stood up angrily and packed up his stuff to leave for the day. He noted
