Nadine

Logan won’t let me explain, and I hate that he won’t just listen. My heart aches when he says he has started feeling something for me.  

It makes me miserable knowing he can’t see that I’m not the person in that damn picture.  

“Get out of here right this minute. I don’t want to see you anywhere near me. I don’t care where you go; you’re dead to me. And as for the contract, I don’t want to have anything to do with you,” he says, his anger pouring out in a rush.  

I want to scream, to make him understand, but the words catch in my throat. It’s as if the ground beneath me has disappeared.  

Logan turns away, his expression cold and distant. “I don’t want to hear another word from you, Nadine. Just get out.”  

I stare at his back. “Logan, please—”  

“Get out!” he shouts, his voice so loud it makes me flinch.  

"You know what, Logan? Fuck you!" I
