Chapter 63

Thankfully, Lily calls my attention, giving me a reason to tear my gaze away from him.

I quickly make my way to the back to meet her, trying to shake off the unease.

Just before I move completely away from the front counter, I turn back and see that they are talking to Zoey.

Lily hands me another form, apologizing for forgetting to give it to me earlier. "This one is for your account details," she explains.

I fill out the form, glad for the distraction. “Thank you,” I say, handing it back to Lily.

When I step back into the shop, I notice the two men are still there, chatting casually with Zoey.

I try to focus on my work, arranging flowers and making sure everything looks perfect.

Zoey glances over at me with a small smile as if she can tell I’m still a bit uneasy. I smile back and keep working.

Zoey comes over to where I’m standing, and I can’t hold back my curiosity any longer. “Who are those men?”<
