Ethan's smile makes my stomach flutter. There’s something about the way he looks at me that sends a rush of warmth through my chest. How can someone be so effortlessly charming and not realize the effect they have on others?

“You look peaceful when you sleep, I just can’t get enough of looking at you.”

A rush of heat spreads across my face, and before I can stop myself, I raise my hand to cover it. His simple compliment has me blushing so hard that I must look like a tomato.

“Come here,” he says, stretching out his hand toward me. “Let’s go join the others.”

I hesitate only for a second before nodding and slipping my hand into his. His palm is warm against mine, With my bag tucked under my arm, we walk together toward the party.
