I'm lying on my back, my head feels heavy and the incessant pounding is starting to feel like my usual life.

I hated it.

I didn't need to think of how I ended up there or even why. I knew, at the back of my mind, everything in my head was as clear as day.

All of that still didn't explain what the fuck alpha Lucien was doing here.

He wasn't in the room with me when I woke up. In fact, I was alone and at first, I panicked, thinking the crazy doctor had me again but I checked and double-checked to see that I could move. I could, though it didn't mean I wanted to.
