"No, no, no." I shake my head stubbornly.
I won't have him lie to my face. I know Alpha Lucien was here. I passed out, but I know I saw him. I'm not making this up.
Or maybe he has changed his name. Yes, that must be it. He probably knows how these people are, and he wanted to stay unknown. I wouldn't blame him for that.
It makes me change my line of questioning.
"I passed out here a few minutes ago," I looked around the room, cursing silently when I saw it was a different room—but it must be a hospital.
It looked like a typical hospital room with a single bed.
"Not here, there was a man with me and he... he is tall, he looks about forty or forty-five." My eyes pinches shut, trying to remember how exactly Alpha Lucien looks.
He is like an older, calmer version of Zade. I wanted to describe that—just how it seems in my head—but the words refuse to leave my mouth. No matter how hard I try, I can't form any words.
