Chapter 4

Her unusual behavior worried Anna, so she went in to check on her roommate. The sight that greeted her was Heather lying down on her bed, covered from head to toe with her duvet. She coughed a little greeting, and Anna raised an eyebrow. “You’re sick?” she asked disbelievingly. 

Heather rarely ever fell sick, and even on the days she did, she always tried to sneak to work which would result in a wrestle between her and Anna, with Anna overpowering her and throwing her back in bed before finally proceeding to call her office. Anna had done this a few times, so the absence of this routine made her very, very suspicious. 

Heather coughed again and nodded her head, then in an exaggeratedly raspy voice, asked Anna to call in sick for her. Anna pursed her lips and shook her head. 

“I don’t believe you,” she said. 

Heather’s mouth fell open in shock, and Anna used this opportunity to tear the blankets away, revealing Heather dressed in her work c
