Chapter 64. First Argument

Genevieve’s POV

After getting back from the trip, I realized I had to face the real world again. And the real world today consists of getting out of bed and getting dressed for work. I had a morning shift. I knew it was time I told Mum about the job I had. I had to tell her the truth and face the repercussions. I would hate for her to find out on her own and I knew she would if I kept preventing and avoiding this discussion. I made up my mind to tell her when I got back from work, Right now, I was so late and I didn’t have time for that.

It shouldn’t be such a problem, right? She would undoubtedly be mad that I lied to her but she would understand just like how she understood me and let me go for the school trip. With that thought in mind, I had a quick shower and got dressed.

"Good morning mum," I greeted with a smile as soon as I headed downstairs and saw her sitting on the couch, watching her favorite TV show.
