Margret’s POV

I stared at the young lady in front of me in surprise. Who was she that she was asking to come into my home? Did she know me from anywhere? She looked very young, about my Gen’s age.

"Young lady, do I know you?" I asked. She smiled flashing her pearly white teeth.

"Pardon my manners, Mrs. Gonzales. I thought you knew who I was," she replied.

"Not at all. I’ve never seen you or heard of someone that fits your description," I said.

"Really? That’s sad to hear. I thought Gen would have talked about me to you," she said in a disheartened tone.

"You know Gen?" I asked in surprise.

She nodded. "Absolutely. We are best friends in school. Didn’t she ever mention me?"

"Not that I remember but if you are friends, I’m sure she will. These things tend to skip her mind sometimes," I assured her. She shook her head in understanding.
