Chapter 8. Full Moon Night
Along the way, Winona didn’t dare ask Richard Lerroy anything. Richard himself didn’t say anything until the ride was very quiet. Winona, with a pounding heart, tried to divert her eyes by looking at the street. The rain had just drenched New York City, so the asphalt was still wet, but the streets weren’t too crowded tonight.
Richard’s luxury car glided smoothly on the wet road to a luxury hotel. Winona knew that this hotel had a three-star Michelin-certified luxury restaurant on the roof. Winona gulped. She had never set foot in a place as luxurious as this.
Richard’s luxury car smoothly entered the lobby area. A parking attendant was ready at the lobby door to offer valet parking. Richard got out of the car, then turned around and opened the door for Winona. Winona was taken aback by this, but she tried to look calm. Her hand reached out, and Richard immediately
