Chapter 28. Miss You

Selena stared sharply at her uncle. "Yes, I did quit my job at the minimarket. But that doesn't mean I stopped working and became unemployed. I found another job outside the city. I need a lot of money for Grandma's treatment and your debts, Uncle! You only know how to spend money, without understanding how hard I've been working!"

Selena spoke with tears streaming down her face. "I'm so tired. So don't ask me anything anymore, Uncle!"

Both of Selena's cheeks were gripped tightly by her uncle, making it difficult for her to speak.

"Don't be arrogant! Just because you're making a few dollars now, your mouth dares to speak so much!"

Her uncle referred to the bag she was carrying as just plastic and took all the money from her wallet.

"Whether you're selling yourself or doing something else, you still have to give me money every month. If not, I'll tell Grandma that you're doing something inappropriate. That old woman will be sad and blame herself!" her uncle sai
