Bright and early the next morning, I headed to work to put the finishing touches— ok, ok, I promise that this is the last, of the travel arrangements to New York
“I'm so jealous, you know,” Mia whined from where she was seated in the visitor's chair.
I looked up from my computer's screen with a wrinkled brow. “Why? What are you jealous of?”
“You!” she stated.
I reared back with an even more furrowed brow. “Wait, what?”
She threw a hand in my direction. “I mean, you work directly under a very hot man–” she laid thick emphasis on hot and I rolled my eyes. “And you also get to go places with him, frequently too, which is also extremely private.”
I shook my head, adjusted my glasses, and turned back to my work. “I'm his Executive assistant, Mia, and that's what executive assistants do. Technically.” I mumbled.
