Chapter 34. Paralyzed
Since Saturday, I hadn’t really known what to say to him. I was more affected than I thought I would be by what happened. We were going to kiss, but I didn’t feel like kissing guys like that. No one else had ever made me feel that way before.
But it was best not to bring it up. I had to get over it and move on. I need to try to talk to Nash in a normal way about our problems, but not yet.
On the slow, quiet walk home, I don’t know what to say.
"You’re quiet." When he sighs, I just shrug.
"It’s been a long day, and the humidity in the pool makes me want to go to bed." I speak softly because I’m scared. "You didn’t need to walk me home."
"I thought it was a good idea to do that." I can understand what he says. He would always offer to walk me home late at night, which was nice.
"It seems like you’re always there to walk me home." I chuckle.
When we get home, I open the door, kick off my shoes,
