Chapter 36. Lauren
When Brendon runs back, I get scared and have to think about what I know. "Hi, Lauren. My name is Chloe. "Can I help?" She does, yes. "Is there an Epi-pen in this room?" She just gasps, and I look at the group of kids she is with who are standing off to the side. Everyone else had already been sent back to the changing room by the lifeguards.
Who would know who Lauren was?
"When I yell, one girl comes up to me with her eyes wide open and asks, "Does she have an Epi-pen?"
"I-I don’t know, I didn’t know Lauren went through this." She says it quietly and looks like she’s about to cry.
"Okay, calm down. You’re not at fault." When I tell her, she sneezes. "Could you please check her locker?"
She quickly nods and walks away, which makes me feel uncomfortable. She is getting red and purple because she can’t get enough air.
"Okay, I’m ready to go." What Brendon says makes sens
