Chapter 116. Run, Rue, Run

I felt like my feet were glued to the floor, I could not move. The silence in the room was gone and people were murmuring and most of them had their phones out.

Most were recording while some were taking pictures. The royal guards tried to get them to stop but it was not easy.

“Leave!” Mark said between his teeth. He knew Storm more than I did, maybe I should listen to him.

But I didn’t. I only took a few steps back but kept my eyes on what was going on. I was not going to leave Zach alone. 

I was mated to him, I should stay by his side no matter what. 

“Mark, just give me a few minutes,” I replied, begging the beta. “Please, and I swear on my life, I will leave.”

“Are you serious?” Storm asked his brother. “You’re the reason I’m mateless. I can’t even look at any other woman the same. I’m traumatized, Zach, and you want me to do what? Give you a pat on the shoulder for that?” He laughed but it was dark.
