Chapter 250. Interrogation
I obeyed, my body trembling uncontrollably as I felt the cold touch of metal against my wrists. The handcuffs clicked into place, each sound driving home the reality of my situation. It was all getting real now.
“Omega Rue Belmond, you’re under arrest for the murder of Vanessa,” The officer declared. His words felt like a sledgehammer to my chest.
“No, no, no,” I sobbed, shaking my head vehemently. “I didn’t do it. You’ve got to believe me! I was set up!”
“Save your breath,” Another officer muttered, his tone dismissive as he guided me toward the basement stairs.
I had not been so scared and confused in my entire life. I did not even know what to do, my mind raced faster than a race car.
