Chapter 253. Prison
The sky above was overcast, casting the whole place in a dull gray hue. The officers guided me towards a small barred door at the base of the stone wall, their hands never straying far from their weapons.
They were treating me like I was a terrorist; like I could bomb the town at any second.
As we approached the entrance, the air grew even colder, as if the very walls of this place exhaled a chill that seeped into your bones. The door creaked open with a reluctant groan, revealing a dimly lit hallway that seemed to stretch on endlessly.
One of the officers shoves me forward, urging me into the hallway. The heavy door slammed shut behind me, its echo dancing in the silence.
