Chapter 68. Convincing the Alpha

With that, Thee alpha turned and walked out of the room, making sure to slam the doors on his way out. Although everyone tried to call him back, he ignored them.

Now that he was gone, everyone was looking at me. “You, omega. The alpha has taken a liking to you, he listens to you,” Elder Robert began, addressing me. “Convince him to let this deal go or you will be going right back to Mother Theresa.”

“I—how am I supposed to do that?” I could not even speak without my voice shaking. “I have no power over the alpha.”

“Yes, you do. I hate that I’m saying this, but you do. He may be falling for you,” Vanessa said. I could tell that she truly hated saying what she had just said. Her face was twisted in disgust as if she had just chewed on a bitter tablet.

“Rue, go out and talk him out of this. This is for his own good,” Mark said to me in a warm tone that made me relax a bit. But just a tiny bit.

I did not know what to say in response.
