Chapter 67. The Alpha Title

I lifted my head and looked at the alpha, I could see the look of defeat on his face, and my heart ached for him. I wished that I could give him a hug and tell him everything was going to be fine, but I knew that I couldn’t. 

“Go on,” Vanessa said, edging the alpha. “Tell them what you did, Zach.” 

Zach turned to her and gave her a hard look of warning before looking back at the elders. “As you all know, I am the alpha of this pack, and I am permitted to make certain decisions even without consent from you guys.” 

Elder Robert sighed and he rubbed his brows in frustration with his eyes closed. When he opened them, he replied, “What did you do?” He chuckled weakly. “I know that you have done something impulsive and stupid, so just come out with it. Spit it out.” 

Zach clenched his jaw and fists for a few seconds before sighing and releasing them. I could tell that he was really trying to control his anger and emotions. “I made a deal with Darco.”&
