Chapter 13
Laura’s POV
When I saw Quinn talking to her friend, Lora, I knew that they were talking about me. I knew they were talking about me because of the way they looked at me and moved their lips as if trying to tell each other that I was the bitch Lucas preferred.
I tried not to look in their direction. It was okay for them to gossip about me if it made them feel good. I didn’t care, and I didn’t want to think about what they were saying.
“What are you looking at?” Vince approached me from behind.
“Nothing,” I lied to him.
“Alright,” Vince said with an awkward smile on his face. “Do you want to grab some ice cream?” he asked, winking his eyes in an awkward way.
“Sure,” I responded. “That would do me a lot of good.”
