Chapter 31
I wasn’t going to let him boss me around. He was the one who was acting like a jerk, and I was going to show him that I wasn’t someone who could be ordered around. I finished making my sandwich and took it upstairs to the room. I was planning to eat my food while watching a movie on Netflix.
“Enjoy your evening,” Vince said to me as he watched me carrying my sandwich to the room.
“I will,” I said to him and continued walking up the stairs.
“And, Laura?” Vince said from the bottom of the stairs.
“What is it, Vince?”
“Your appointment has been rescheduled for next week.”
I was about to say something, but he was already gone.
I closed the door and sat down on the bed, eating my sandwich. I couldn’t believe that I had lost the opportunity to find out the gender of our baby because Vince had behaved like a jerk.
