Chapter 124. Make Changes

I felt her pulse jump under my fingers the moment the words left my mouth.

Her hand was still pressed to my throat, and I leaned into it like a man begging for the blade.

Her eyes flickered again—just a split second—like she almost considered it before the fake sweet mask slid back into place.

“Titan…” she whispered, making a sad face. “You can’t say things like that.”

I didn’t move nor look away.

“Why not? It’s the truth. I’ve taken everything from you. Hurt you in ways I can never undo. The least I can do is give you the ending you deserve… the one where you take everything from me. Including my life."

Her fingers tightened slightly around my neck. My heart hammered against my ribs.

Is she really going for it?

I closed my eyes.

Then I heard a small, breathy laugh.

I slowly opened them. She was laughing, though it didn’t reach her eyes.

“Silly. You’re being dramatic again.” She tilted her head, studying me. “You really thin
