Chapter 49. Hell
Her heart skipped and her stomach dropped.
"No... no..."
She yanked it out, flipped it, tried again. This time, it clicked.
Aria pressed her lips together to keep from crying out in relief. She opened the cell door slowly, inch by inch.
The hinges squealed slightly. Her heart almost leapt into her throat because of the noise.
She froze and waited to ensure no guard was around.
No one came.
With the anticipation of freedom, she stepped out of her cell, barefoot, with her torn pants and tank top that was ripped into shreds, exposing her shoulder, boobs and part of her stomach.
Unfortunately, she had no idea what awaited her.
The corridor was dark and endless and as soon as she walked seven feet away from her cell, red lights lit up automatically.
She panicked at the lights, but what she saw next shook off the panic and replaced it with shock.
