Chapter 53. Not New
“You still believe it will get better? Aria… it doesn't. People out there have no idea how much freedom they have. Death is the only freedom for us.”
Bianca saw the emotions in Aria's eyes and felt bad for saying that.
“I didn't mean to make you sad. You are right, we have hope. Thanks for sharing your food with me, Aria.”
Aria pressed her lips to keep herself from crying out and forced a smile back.
"You're welcome".
It had been a week in the Bloodfang cell.
Although Aria was given decent meals, it was still hell for her.
It was morning, and she was still asleep when the iron door of her the prisom groaned as it slid open.
The sound woke her, and her tired eyelids slowly fluttered open.
She yawned hungrily as she sat up. Her wrists throbbed painfully where the cuffs had bruised her skin,making her wince.
“Fuck… this hell,”
she cursed.
