I felt sad. What a disappointment I was to myself. I lied to Jake, and it didn't feel right. I was ashamed of myself. I wasn't that kind of person. If I had avoided that kiss with Dean, I wouldn't have to lie to Jake. But I was weak, and I let my desires get the best of me.
"Dean entered the house again? How?" Jake raised his eyebrows. He got up from the couch and walked to the entrance. He examined the door. "I don't see any signs of forced entry. The door has an automatic lock. No one can enter without a key."

"Okay, Jake! I'm sorry! I left the front door open. I went to my room to get a jacket. I was going to go out, and Dean came in."
"You were going out? Where?" he asked.
"I was going to see you. I wanted to go to work."
"We agreed this morning that you wouldn't leave the house because you need to rest."
