Chapter 58. We Don't Agree

Carla and I talked about what happened. I could see in her face that she looked tired. I comforted her and hugged her, but it didn't fix the fight between us. Carla went home. She said she wanted to rest. I asked her not to go, but she insisted. I assured her I would join her soon.

Since I found out Lena was pregnant, Carla and I have had issues. Honestly, I don't know if my relationship with Carla would bear fruit. I had the impression that we wouldn't get married as planned.

The doctor allowed me to see Lena. I smiled when I saw her wake up. Seeing the color of her eyes made me feel calm. Lena was fine. But when she accused Carla of poisoning Jake, we fought. Lena had a concussion. What happened didn't allow her to see clearly? I knew Carla had hit her in the past, but she wasn't a murderer. Why would Carla want to kill Jake?

The doctors had to calm Lena. They sedated her. Lena fell asleep.
