Chapter 59. I Won't Leave

I didn't want to argue with Dean's parents, so I told them I needed to rest. Mrs. Clark accompanied me to the bathroom because I needed to go. I discovered that my body ached when I walked, but it wasn't unbearable pain. I could handle it. And throughout the journey, I planned to visit Jake in his room. I didn't care if they didn't allow me to leave the bed. I had the urgency to go see him and hold his hand. I had the illusion that Jake would wake up while I spoke to him.
