Chapter 34
Winter’s POV
An unguarded giggle left me as I read through the contents of the umpteenth letter that I had received from Lucas. My reading had also gotten better; there were new words to add to my vocabulary, some I could weave back to him as a love language of my own to my one and only.
Reading was still quite slow, and I’d have to read a line twice or more than that to grasp its full message. Aside from the flutters the inked affection brought to my soul, the wind was also a gentle respite to my troubles. The distraction from the added burdens on my shoulders.
Or was it the looming eclipse lying within the unseen shadows in a clandestine wake? I deserved those few moments of peace. I enjoyed them, and I would revel in them for as long as they lasted. And speaking of relishing in deciduous bliss, his hands worked magic as they danced slowly and stealthily around my waist.
