Dorra’s POV
That look on her face was to die for. I was on the verge of bursting into cackles from helplessness etched on her face. And I trusted myself to make the very most of it; she wouldn’t see what was coming for her. That’s what it meant to have the upper hand because I could use it against my opponents whenever I pleased.
“Why do you look so scared, like you saw a ghost?” I knowingly needled.
“Huh?” She answered, flustered.
How pathetic.
“You’re not pregnant, are you?” I joked.
“No,” she immediately answered, “of course not…”
“Of course not? It’s not like conceiving is inevitable, is it? Why do you seem like it’s never going to happen? He already bedded you, so what’s with the startled face?”
I saw the muscles of her throat shift up and down in a cornered gulp, and I smirked. She heaved a sigh and got to her feet, still clutching something, that paper I had seen in her palm.
