Chapter 18
Michael grumbled as he glanced at the ladies in front of him, bored, and stared at them with the same expression. He could hear how fast their hearts beat while patiently standing in front of him while they grumbled without a doubt in their heads and hoped he would get done with whatever he wanted to do and let them go back to their nest where they could deal with their misery in solitude without dealing with the fear and anxiety of being in his presence.
He needed to feed. He knew he needed to. The hunger tore at his belly, and he felt crying out in agony and jumping at one of the ladies and sucking at her till her blood ran dry. He knew why the ladies were annoyed as they waited on him, but he couldn’t blame them. He had fed dry and snapped the neck of one of them after feeding in a mood of rage, and they all definitely wondered if the rest of them were going to have the same fate.
