Chapter 17

“I told you I am a sweetheart.” Kelvin laughed on their way to Star’s house.

She snorted. “You are just a charmer who got lucky. Nothing at all.” She walked, feeling a bit awkward at taking him to her house, but there was a file he needed to go over for the trial he had on Monday, which she had forgotten to take to the office in the morning, and since she wouldn’t be going to the office the following day because Jessica had forbidden her from going to work on a Saturday, she had no choice but to let him follow her home so he could get the file.

She shook her head at Jessica’s antics of not allowing her to be at the office on weekends. Jessica had told her in a strict manner to stop devoting all her youth to work and get a life for herself. Star shook her head and snorted because she knew Jessica had only increased her moments of boredom and she was not getting any life for herself.

“Care to go on another date with me tomorrow evening?” He asked her suddenly.
