Chapter 50. Am I Fat?

Anna sat, immersed from her neck down into the warm bubble bath. Lucien had called earlier to let her know he would be leaving the city for a while and that he had asked Charles to stay around to attend to her.

She played with ring around her middle finger, eyes red with tears over what Gennie had told her earlier in the day. Gennie had been invited to her training hall to talk to the recruits since she was a top model, and Gennie didn't miss her opportunity to embarrass her.

She called her out to the front of the little crowd and used her as an example of what the other models shouldn't look like. She told her she was ‘a little bit on the fat side’ and that even the thick models in the Kenaco institute had their body mass in the right places.
