“Say what back?” He asked, eliciting a crazed chortle from her.

“You weren’t listening to me?” She raised a brow.

“I was,” He lied.

“So say it back.” She told him and waited. Kai didn’t know what to say. He had blocked out her voice and didn’t hear a single word she had said from her apology to her ‘I love you’.

“Kai?”

“Okay, fine, I wasn’t listening. I got lost in my thoughts.” He decided to admit.

“Oh. Where were you thinking of her?” Anna asked, tears rimming her eyes.

“Huh?” Kai tried to act confused, but Anna got fed up and shoved the ice cream in his face. Kai immediately got on his feet, letting the melting ice cream fall off his face.
