Chapter 31
“What just happened?” asked Tasia, turning to look.
“I’m not…” Dana left her sentence hanging as she watched the witch break into a skip toward the building. She hastily unzipped the bag and looked to see that the doll inside had gone limp.
Where am I? Hello? Help!
It was a woman’s voice that came from the doll, but it wasn’t Jenny’s. Dana looked up at the witch, who had paused long enough to turn back and look at them with pitch black eyes. She grinned, her jaw twisting hard enough to one side that it looked like it may have dislocated.
“No, Jenny, wait!” Dana called, but the spirit and her new meat wagon strolled inside the data center without a care.

Ingrid moved slowly through the stacks, sliding her feet forward to avoid tripping. Every few feet, she would hear a hiss from a cockatrice, or maybe the fluttering of their feathers. She made sure to drag her hands along the servers, keeping herself wiped down with oil to keep the beast
