Chapter 22. The Look

That call made me stay up the whole night. I'm not supposed to be like this, but whenever I closed my eyes and tried to sleep, all I could hear in the back of my mind was her voice. Her soft voice that is apparently comforting me down to my soul.

I'm not really scared of what's going to happen, but when I felt something in my chest—like my heart beating like crazy—I knew at that moment that I should be scared.

After a long time of not feeling this kind of thing, I felt it again because of her. I'm still not ready for this.

Most importantly, I'm not ready to show her my true side yet. I don't know when I will get ready, but I know this is going to take a long time.

My alarm rang, and it's already time for me to get up and prepare myself for today. I'm usually active in the morning, but today felt gloomy.
