The event went smoothly, just like we anticipated. The guests were pleased with my presentation, and even some of the businessmen offered us a huge investment right after my speech. It came out so well, just like what I wanted.
I was thrilled.

"Miss Rosie, they love everything about your speech, and one of them has already offered a long-term project for us," Kara excitedly reported to me.
I was getting busy with all of the business talk around me when I saw her again entering the hall. She looks just the same—cold and dull.
She joined a group of people on the other side of the hall. I couldn't help but look at her. She looks the same, but as I stared at her for a while, I could see how her eyes looked tired and weary.
